Our story

In 1969, Elijah "Touch" Touchton was discharged from the United States Air Force after serving for eight years, including one year in Vietnam. After being discharged, he moved to Pittsburg, Kansas with his family, where he attended Pittsburg State University and became an electrician.

Touch started his own business, Touchton Electric Service, in 1972, doing residential and commercial wiring. Through the years the customer base has included residential and commercial customers as well as schools, churches, and business plants in Southeast Kansas and Missouri.

Several years later, residential and commercial alarm systems were introduced, and later, the installation of fire alarms and medical alerts.

In 1994, David Touchton, Touch's son, became the manager and operator of Touchton Electric and Alarms, Inc. He and his wife have been in the Pittsburg community all their lives and are committed to continually serving their community and the surrounding areas.

Under David's leadership, Touchton specializes in residential and commercial electrical service, and alarm installation and repair. They pride themselves on keeping their focus on perfecting those two areas.

Touchton Electric and Alarms, Inc. offers residential and commercial security systems, fire alarms, camera systems, access control systems, and network cabling.
